My New Grandson

I would like for you to meet my new Grandson Max Hilliard Johnson. He was born 7/10/10. Wt 8-3 Ht 21 1/4. He has blue eyes and sandy colored hair. We are blessed.

Two Down One To Go

Well friends I'm finally sharing some pictures from our second of a three bedroom makeover. I painted the walls the same gray and white as the first bedroom makeover. This bedroom was brown so it really did lighten things up. I decided I really didn't want curtains ,so I found this old architectural piece to go above the only window in the room. I painted my oak sleigh bed black. I recovered and painted the two chairs in the corner of the room. I found a quilt at TJ Maxx. The little chest of drawers was really in bad shape, but Jack gave it some tender loving care and nursed it back to health. I found one of those old bed lamps that clamp on the headboard and recovered it. I must admit I smile as  I pass by the room and think......not bad. I am moving on to paint the hall next and then on to my bedroom. Please be patient that one may take a while.

            

                       

 

      

        

 

        

Back Porch

 Several years ago I ask Jack to build me a covered screened in porch. One of his good friends offered to help him. They did a great job and it is one of my favorite places to hang out. I have taken many a nap in that porch swing. As you can see Heidi likes the swing also. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Morning Clippings

Next to my roses my hydrangeas are my favorite cut flower from my yard. I really have to baby them in this Texas heat, but it's worth it. Notice my new double hydrangeas I found at Home Depot.      

Three New Residents

I was out clipping my roses after work and to my delight found we have a new nest of baby Cardinals. The mother is staying very close so I had to snap a quick pic.

NEW HEADER

My roses have just been beautiful this year. I just made my new header with the rose arrangements I made this weekend. I won't say how many bushes I have. Lets just say my neighbors, friends, and family get arrangements.  

ALWAYS STYLISH

I'm still working on my bedrooms. I should have a few pictures for you next week. If I had an unlimited budget one of my favorite places to look is Ralph Lauren.

SO THAT'S WHERE THAT WENT

I'm getting my second Spring make-over bedroom ready to start on Monday. I was taking the bed apart to repaint it and found some treasures under it. Oh come on doesn't everyone store stuff under their beds?

Great Weekend Camping Trip
