White Wednesday At Round Top

Round Top was awesome this time. Beautiful weather and some great finds. I will be sharing some great stuff in the days to come.

ROUND TOP OR BUST

This time every year my heart starts yearning for fields of bluebonnets and pastures of antiques. Friday morning I'm headed for the Round Top Antiques Fair. I took a few pictures around my house of my treasures from past trips.

RIBBONS AND TRIMS

Isn't she beautiful modeling a handmade headdress fashioned from vintage flowers and leaves.

Rosemary Warren transformed an old dress form into a bulletin board.

Decorating this fantastic paper parasol was the idea of Jill Schwartz. She embellished a parasol into a lampshade for a wrought iron lamp found at a flea market.

Bunny Panic Attack

Today it occurred to me Easter is April 4th and I did not have one Easter decoration out yet. I headed for the attic. I definitely need a trip to Hobby Lobby to freshen up and add to my bunnies.

Wonderful White Wednesday

Lavender Linen Water

A great way to keep your rooms and linens fresh is linen water. The French used it to spray just before laying the duvet cover over bed sheets.

LAVENDER LINEN WATER

Ingredients

1 tsp lavender essential oil

2 oz denatured alcohol

10 oz distilled water

12 oz bottle with lid

Instructions:

Pour essential oil and alcohol into bottle, close lid, and shake to mix; add distilled water. Mixture will become cloudy and eventually separate. Shake well before each use.
